Chapter 005

“Minnie slow down!!!” Jae Joong softly said as he tried to catch up to his hyper active younger brother. Because of how he was dressed he, couldn’t very much yell out in his deep voice or run… ahh the pains of pretending to be a demure lady.

“But hy.. “ Changmin say Jae Joong’s evil glare and corrected himself, “noona.. they have soo many yummy things here… I just can’t decide until I see everything… WOW!!! We don’t have those back at home… Kuri would like those.”

Just as Jae Joong had just caught up with Changmin and was about to grab him so he wouldn’t run off again, Changmin caught the scent of something delicious and made a run for it.

“Come one, come all… Come it the best food in Cheonson… Prince Jaelin and the Black Knight’s recipes!!! All for a low price and large portions!!!” the vendor yelled to catch the attention of people passing by. The stall already was bustling with business and there were many more just waiting to get a seat. Changmin watched with sparkling eyes as servers walked past him with plates and bowls of delicious smelling foods that he had never seen or smelt before.

“Ah… I see we’ve caught you attention cutie. Welcome to JBK’s, where the food is affordable for everyone and the portions are plentiful… and all the money goes to a good cause.” The vendor said as she continued to point out where the servers should go. Changmin licked his lips and smiled as he looked at the list of foods they had to offer, just as he was about to ask about an item, he got hit on the head.

“Ouch!!! Who hit me with their bag???” He said as he turned around to see who would have hit someone as adorable as him, “Oh… its … you… noona.. heh heh”

Changmin avoided looking directly at his “noona’s” face who was furious and turned back to the vendor. Jae Joong grabbed Changmin and turned him around and once again smacked Changmin on the back of his head.

“Didn’t I tell you not to run around and wait for me!!!” Jae Joong said two octaves his normal voice, he grabbed Changmin’s had, “Come on.. donsaeng… let’s go home… I told you if you did this .. we would go home and you would just have to go eat Yoochun’s cooking..”

Jae Joong began to drag Changmin away from the stall and Changmin started to cause a scene, hitting Jae Joong, crying and whining that caused people to turn and stare, embarrassing Jae Joong. Changmin snickered but then went silent after seeing Jae Joong stare at him as if to pierce his very soul. Changmin sulked, got up from the ground and sadly followed Jae Joong.

“Wait Miss… your little brother only wanted to try the best that Cheonson has to offer. You seem nice.. why don’t you come, take a seat and try some of our delicious food.” The vendor said feeling sorry for Changmin.

Jae Joong curtseyed and gave a shy smile, “ Oh it is quite alright… we are just passing through this kingdom and are very low on money.. we could not possibly afford any of those delicious dishes.”

“Ah.. but that is the best part about JBK’s… come on .. take a seat and I’ll tell you more about it.”

Jae Joong looked at Changmin who looked back with puppy dog eyes and then he looked at the vendor who gave a sincere smile and stood next to an empty table, Jae Joong feeling like he had been backed into a corner, gave in. He sweetly nodded and smiled, Changmin seeing this jumped for joy and ran to the table giving the sweet old vendor lady a giant hug.

Jae Joong gave him another look that told Changmin to sit down which he did. The old vendor lady sat down next to Changmin and pinched his cheeks, “ Ohh.. your little brother is so cute!!! And look at you .. such a beautiful young girl… just like out of a painting… my .. your parents must be beautiful people as well.. I tell you what.. you can pick anything you like ok .. free of charge.”

“YAY!!!!” Changmin cheered, “Thank you ajumma!!!”

But his happiness was short lived, “ Ajumma.. we cannot… it would not be right of us to do so.. we will just have something simple that we can afford.. we should not take advantage of your kindness, “ Jae Joong said softly as he bowed to the lady.

“But noona…”

“But nothing… it is improper to do so… “

The old lady patted Changmin on the head, “ It’s alright… hahahah… Since you are new to the kingdom you must not now… this food stall was created by our wonderful crown prince Jaelin and his companion, whom we all call her by Black Knight.”

“So that’s why its call JBK.” Changmin interrupted, but then stopped after seeing Jae Joong’s look.

“Haha yes.. you see all these workers here…they were thieves and homeless people that were at the end of their rope. Prince Jaelin and Black Knight teamed together to try to give them a chance to better themselves so they built this stall and gave them all jobs, a place to stay and food.”

“I see.. Prince Jaelin and this Black Knight seem like great individuals… but I still do not understand why we don’t have to pay.” Jae Joong said politely as he thought to himself Wow to do such a thing… this Prince must truly love and care for his people… but I wonder who this Black Knight person is?

“Hahaha I am just getting to that, once this stall opened.. Black Knight came and taught us to cook dishes that she and the Prince love eating and created themselves and also said that since everyone here had accepted kindness that we to should extend a hand to people. So for people that can afford to pay.. they pay us what they can for the food, but for those who cannot… they can eat free The money we do get, gets dispersed among the various orphanages and hospitals around the kingdom because all the materials we use.. BK and Jaelin taught how to grow for ourselves.”

“Wow I wanna meet BK noona!!! She seems cool!!” Changmin once again interrupted.

“Changmin… you mustn’t be rude.. you don’t even know her.. so you must refer to her as Black Knight… “ Jae Joong said sternly.

“Haha its alright, both Prince Jaelin and Black Knight care nothing for titles, to them, they are the same as we are… we hold so much respect and love for the two of them, but never give us a chance to repay their kindness.. “ the lady got teary eyed, “ haha.. enough of that… I can see your brother here is starving so anything you like.. ok “

“hmm.. I want something sweet!!!” Changmin said loudly and he slammed his hands on the table.

“Minnie…. Don’t be rude..” Jae Joong said to Changmin and turned then turned to the lady and gave a smile, “I am sorry .. he gets easily excited when food is involved …If possible could I get something spicy.. anything is fine.”

“Ahh.. hahah its ok.. that just means he’s a healthy boy.. something sweet.. how about a big cake.. BK just came by a few days ago to make it and it is the most requested of all?” the old lady said as she patted his head.

“Yay..” Changmin cheered.

“And as for missie… I think Jaelin and BK’s favorite soup and rice .. I promise you it will be delicious… I’ll go prepare it now”

Both Changmin and Jae Joong bowed to her as she walked away, “Yay!!! We get to taste some of BK noona and Prince Jaelin’s cooking !!! Hurry.. hurry… “

“Minnie!!!.. “ Jae Joong said as he slapped Changmin’s hand.

“Hey girlie… wanna eat with us… I don’t know why such a sexy thing like you would be with a twerp like him.. “ a man said as he put his hand on Jae Joong’s face, tracing it down to his chin.

Four other guys appeared in guard uniforms like the other man, all five were noticeably drunk. Jae Joong showed no reaction to this and just went back talking to Changmin.

“Hey.. captain.. I don’t think .. she liked you hahahah” one guard said as he put his hand on the captain’s shoulder. The captain pissed off knocked the guard down as the others stood and laughed.

“You … At first I was planning to let you go… , but now you are gonna be treated like everyone else… Don’t you know there is a protection tax in this kingdom. New people to the kingdom must pay us a protection fee..or else.. we don’t guarantee your safety..” the captain began to pull of Jae Joong’s hood, “while in the kingdom…”

Changmin had just heard about enough was about ready to pull out his sword, but was stopped by Jae Joong.

“Nate.. What the hell are you doing!!! Leave these kids alone!!! You have no authority here.. you Amuka scum..” the old lady said as she placed Changmin’s and Jae Joong’s food on their table, “Here kids… enjoy your meal.. don’t mind them.. they are nothing.. just relying on that evil Lord Dong Wook.. like he is a threat.. Jaelin and BK are both stronger than him..”

“Shut up you old hag !!How dare you call his Lordship by his proper name!!! Don’t disrespect Lord Se7en like that!!! And your angel of a prince and his dark avenger are no match for his Lordship’s might.” and he shoves the old lady down.

Changmin and Jae Joong get up to go help the old lady but Jae Joong is grabbed by the captain and Changmin is pinned down by the other guards.

“So… how about it … the payment… if you don’t have money.. its fine..” the captain looks up and down Jae Joong, “ Hey.. guys .. we can come to another arrangement right… hahahahah”

Changmin unable to take this any longer kicked one of the guards pinning him down and pulled out his retractable spear pointing it at the captian, “Move away from her …NOW!!!”’

“Little boy you are going to regret this..” the captain as he slowly backed away from Jae Joong, but then he felt another spear at the back of his neck.

“Oh really.. do you think so??” another Changmin said as he pressed the tip of the spear deeper into the captain’s neck.

The captains and other guards could not believe what they saw… and suddenly the guards and captain were surrounded by a dozen Changmins.

“Which one of us is real” the Changmins all said at once. One of the guard took a swing at the Changmin that was in front him but the Changmin disappear. “Captain!!! They are only images.. they aren’t real.. Ough..”

“Are you sure??? Hahahah” another Changmin laughed appearing behind the guard and knocking him out.

Jae Joong looked at Changmin, “Let’s just go… We shouldn’t …this isn’t our place..”
“But… noona..” Changmin pleaded as he let his guard down. The captains and guard took advantage and started attacking the Changmins.

Jae Joong looked at Changmin and nodded… the two jumped out of the stall and into the street as the as the other Changmins followed.

“Kill them all!! After them!!!” the captain yelled as he pulled out his sword and chased after Changmin times 12 and Jae Joong.

The guards surrounded Changmin and Jae Joong laughing , “Now we’ve got you.. hahahha… where’s your little monster army now!!!”

“Noona can I?” Changmin asked Jae Joong.

Jae Joong nodded and took a step back to let Changmin have his fun. Changmin turned to the guards and gave them an evil grin, “ Heh… now you are gonna get it .”

“What are you going to do you little punk… its you versus all of us… and you don’t have your army of copies to help you..” the captain said confidently but then he and the guards took a step back when Changmin’s body began to glow.

Changmin grinned again and then laughter filled the marketplace. The guards all began to cower in fear when they had turned around and they abandoned their captain.

“Where are you …” but before he could finish his sentence, he realized why they made a run for it. A nundredof Changmins filled the street, stood on the roof top, completely surrounding the 1 captain all of them cracking their knuckles and laughing.

The captain quickly dropped his sword and tried to find a way out, but no luck.

“Ready… steady… go!!!” the original Changmin yelled with a huge smile on his face.

“Alright lets go!!” all one hundred Changmins replied as they all jumped, ran, rushed toward the captain like a thundering herd of cattle.. The first 10 Changmins that got a hold of the captain knocked him down and pinned him to the ground while all the other Changmins got into a line chattering amongst themselves and one by one the took their turn to take a punch or to stomp on the poor helpless captain.

Jae Joong walked up to the old lady and bowed and apologized to her and gave her a large bag of gold.

“Oh I cannot accept this… “ the lady said.

But Jae Joong just gently held her hands, looked into her eyes and gave a sweet smile, “ This is to help with your cause.. Please accept it… We wouldn’t feel right if we didn’t contribute… especially for causing… “ but before he could finish his sentence, Jae Joong felt a powerful presence watching them..

“Noona!!! Why did you stop me???” Changmin whined as he took his swing at the already unconscious captain.

Jae Joong quickly bowed to the kind old lady and rushed over and grabbed Changmin and started to run.

“Noona!!! What’s wrong.. why are we running and why did you cancel out my copies…” Changmin asked as he tried to keep up with Jae Joong.

“I didn’t… someone was watching us.. someone with power and they did it… we need to get back.. I have a bad feeling…” Jae Joong said as he continued to run.

“Why are we running? Its not like we did anything wrong.. we just defended ourselves.. and if they were watching us they would have seen that those guys started it “

“I didn’t sense them until after your copies started beating up that man… so I don’t know if that person saw what happened before… mini cooper.. “

“What…” Changmin said as he bumped into Jae Joong. A few feet in front of them stood a masked warrior in black holding a long sword pointing at the two of them.

Changmin jumped in front of his hyung holding out his spear, but Jae Joong put his hand on Changmin’s shoulder,” Step aside.. I’ll handle this.. I don’t know who you are, but we have done nothing wrong.”

“What I saw was two strangers, one taking advantage of another who did not have the same abilities. I don’t know where you are from and why you are here, but no man should be punished like that… if he had done something wrong why not report it to authorities? Taking matters into your own hands makes you just like him so prepare to fight.” the masked warrior said as she got into first stance.

“But like hyung said… ooops..” Changmin said as he jumped out from behind Jae Joong.

“Now I know you are up to no good… why would a man disguise himself as a woman if he has nothing to hide? “

And not allowing them to speak any further the masked warrior leaped up into the air directly into the sun so Changmin and Jae Joong could not see.

Jae Joong pulled out his sword and jumped into first stance as he stepped in front of Changmin unsure of what would happen next. Just as he did, his sword struck against her sword. The masked warrior jumped back and moved into another stance. Changmin wanting to help his brother got into first stance and he began to glow. He began to make copies but suddenly the masked warrior pushed her hand out and sent a pressure towards Jae Joong and Changmin blowing Jae Joong back and causing all the copies to rush back into Changmin.

“What??” Changmin said confusingly.

Jae Joong used his sword to help himself up, “That’s what I was going to tell you.. She has the same ability as me… but don’t worry she won’t be able to use hers as well… From your outfit and your skill… I take it that you are the Black Knight?”

She did not say anything and began to circle them and suddenly charged at Changmin but was blocked by Jae Joong. The two struggled back and forth and then Changmin went from behind to attempt to knock out the Black Knight but only met with a powerful high kick knocking him unconscious.

“Minnie!!!.. I didn’t want to fight you, because you are a woman..” Jae Joong said as he knocked her back and went to check on Changmin.

“Do I look like I care…” the Black Knight said as she threw out a chain tying up Jae Joong and Changmin, “ .. Now you are going with me to the palace…”

“Palace?...”

“Yes . Unlike you two.. I follow the law.. whatever has happened.. explain it to the king.”, the Black Knight said as she began to pull up Jae Joong and an unconscious Changmin.

“Let them go…” a low deep voice said from behind her as 3 swords were pointing from her back. She dropped the chain and slowly stepped back as Junsu ran to unchain Jae Joong and Changmin as Yoochun slapped Changmin to get him to regain consciousness.

“I don’t know what has happened but I cannot allow you to take my brothers to the palace…” Yunho said as he continued to hold his sword to Black Knight’s back, “Yoochun, Junsu are hyung and Changmin alright.”

“Yah.. they are fine. “Junsu said as he helped Changmin up who was rubbing his face. Changmin asked who slapped him, Junsu shrugged and Yoochun laughed.
“Let her go… it was all a misunderstanding.” Jae Joong said as he got up and put his sword back into his sheath.

Yoochun gave a pout and slowly walked up to the Black Knight , checking her out, “hmm… soo.. you were able to knock out Minnie and tie up hyung.. I would have thought someone bigger or … manlier…”

Yunho gave Yoochun a dirty look as Yoochun moved in closer the Black Knight who remained silent, “You have a nice looking body… but what is with the mask… do you have something to hide… let’s see..”

“Yoochun stop playing around..”

“Ahh come on what can she do now.. you have a sword to her back so … Let me have some fun… we should at least get a look at the face of the person who was able to best hyung.” Yoochun he giggled and slowly reached for her mask. Just as he touched her mask, Black Knight ducked down and elbowed him in the stomach turning him to face Yunho.

“Give me the sword… “ the Black Knight said as she twisted Yoochun’s arm back tighter causing him to scream. Jae Joong, Changmin, Junsu rushed to Yunho’s side. Yunho looked at Jae Joong as if to ask what he would do and Jae Joong nodded while the others had their weapons at the ready.

Yunho flipped the sword down and handed it to her and as the Black Knight reached for the sword, she knocked out Yoochun , ducked down kicking Yunho causing him to fall and then rendered him unconscious by hitting a pressure point.

Junsu and Changmin rushed up together. Junsu jumped into the air and Changmin rushed in head on. Jae Joong yelled to stop them but it was too late. The Black Knight suddenly took out a vile and threw it to the ground and she disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

“Where is she???????” Changmin asked Junsu. Junsu shrugged as they looked around for her. They turn around but she was no where in sight and suddenly the two fell unconscious.

“Changmin!!! Junsu!!!” Jae Joong yelled as he rushed to them. He checked their pulse and sighed because they were only asleep, as he gripped his sword ready to fight and got up ready to fight.

As he stood up and turned, he came face to face with the Black Knight and in reaction he quickly turned and took a swing at her. She leaned back avoiding his sword but when she came up, Jae Joong fist met with her face knocking her mask off.

The Black Knight lost her balance and was about to fall when Jae Joong caught he before she landed on the ground. She turned around and their eyes met, Jae Joong was mesmerized. He moved in closer to her, but suddenly the Black Knight pushed him away, rolled, grabbing her mask and putting it back. Jae Joong snapped out of his trance and got into his fighting stance. The Black Knight started to look around and then noticed that Jae Joong had her sword.

“I suggest you give up… you have no more weapons and our powers cancelled each other out. Unless you want to fight me with your bare hands?” he said with a smile, “ Why do you hide your face behind that mask.. you are kinda cute… “

The Black Knight said nothing but looked up into the sky when hearing a chirping sound in a distance. She smiled and then whistled which caused Jae Joong to go on the defensive but suddenly Hikari swooped down knocking out Jae Joong with its wing. Hikari landed right next to the Black Knight and chirped sweetly, she pet Hikari gently and her eyes glowed as she held out her hand and chains appeared. She went up to each of them locking up in chains and removing their weapons.

She recited and incantation and summoned a carriage pulled by 4 black horses. Her eyes glowed black and suddenly the 5 unconscious boys began to fade and then reappeared carriage.

She walked up to Hikari and petted her, “ Thank you Hikari.. now go back to the palace and rest.”

Hikari nodded and chirped cheerful as she took off heading back towards the palace. She watched as Hikari disappeared into the horizon and she made her way to the carriage. She hopped into the driver’s seat of the carriage and took the reins. She looked back into the carriage and looked at Jae Joong.. He doesn’t look like a bad person… she thought to herself as she gave a sigh, But looks aren’t everything… as she touched her mask.

She remembered the look that Jae Joong had when he saw her face, to her it was a face of disgust.. “I am soo hideous.. that is why I hide my face…” finally answered Jae Joong’s question and then lead the horses, “ YAH!!!” towards the palace.

Jaelin/Black Knight (BK): From this chapter you can see that she has the same ability as Jae Joong, being able to negate others abilities. She also has the ability to teleport objects. She can summon objects and animals on command too
